A former eBay, Inc. executive pleaded guilty today in connection with his role in a cyberstalking campaign targeting the editor and publisher of a newsletter that eBay executives viewed as critical of the company.

The man accused of killing 14-year-old Ryan Rogers told law-enforcement officials he is constantly followed and attacked. Some psychologists call the condition 'gang-stalking.'

A Palm Beach County judge on Tuesday refused to bar the press and the public from a hearing that will determine whether a homeless man is competent to stand trial for the November stabbing death of a Palm Beach Gardens teen.

Two psychologists have found Semmie Williams competent to stand trial in the stabbing death of 14-year-old Ryan Rogers, who left his Palm Beach Gardens home on Nov. 15 to take a bicycle ride and never returned.

Following a five week jury trial this past summer, Defendants were convicted of conspiracy, interstate stalking resulting in death, and cyberstalking resulting in death.  This was the first case in the nation where defendants were convicted of cyberstalking resulting in death.

After surviving a rocky divorce and custody dispute in 2007, all Christine Belford wanted was to settle back into a peaceful life with her three young daughters in her Delaware home.

Instead, her ex-husband, David T. Matusiewicz, and several members of his family stalked, harassed, and intimidated Belford for years leading up to her murder at a federal courthouse in Wilmington on February 11, 2013. The ensuing investigation, conducted by the FBI and the Delaware State Police, resulted in the first-ever convictions on charges of cyberstalking resulting in death, a violation contained in the federal Violence Against Women Act.

David T. Matusiewicz, Lenore Matusiewicz and Amy Gonzalez were sentenced yesterday in federal court in Delaware to life in prison for the February 2013 murder of David Matusiewicz’s ex-wife and a friend at the New Castle County Courthouse, announced Acting U.S. Attorney David C. Weiss for the District of Delaware, Special Agent in Charge Kevin L. Perkins for the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Baltimore Division and Colonel Nathaniel McQueen Jr. for the Delaware State Police.
